Abstract | Demonetization is the discontinuity of the particular currency from circulation in an economy and replacing it with new currency. It is an act of stripping a currency unit from its status and introducing new notes or coins of the same denominations. In the present scenario it is the banning of Rs.500 and Rs. 1000 denomination currency notes as a legal tender and its impact on Indian economy. |
