Abstract | This paper examines the critical aspects of implementing a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to support key functions within laboratories as part of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The study explores essential LIMS functionalities, including sample lifecycle management, request processing through portals, instrument interfacing, and batch management. It also delves into challenges and opportunities related to master data management, out-of-the-box (OOB) stability, and intellectual property (IP) management. From the Business Analyst (BA) and Quality Assurance (QA) Lead perspectives, this paper highlights the methodologies, strategies, and frameworks necessary for successfully deploying LIMS solutions. It emphasizes aligning stakeholder requirements, addressing technical complexities, and ensuring robust quality standards to enhance laboratory efficiency and compliance. |
