Abstract This paper explores the transformative impact of digital technologies on systems engineering, with a particular focus on how digital transformation can enhance the management and integration of interconnected systems. As systems become more complex and interconnected, traditional engineering methods struggle to keep pace with the demands for agility, precision, and real-time decision-making. This research discusses key technologies such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), digital twins, and cloud-based collaborative platforms, highlighting their role in elevating systems engineering practices to effectively handle the challenges of modern interconnected systems. The paper concludes by proposing a roadmap for the adoption of digital transformation in systems engineering to drive innovation, reduce risks, and improve performance in various industries, including aerospace, healthcare, and manufacturing.
