About Me

Apart from peering over books and fretting over GLP, I enjoy some quiet time in the wilderness to reconnect with my spiritual roots. Besides this, I look forward to exploring new cultures in an attempt to widen my sphere of experiences. Being around animals is another form of recreation that I often seek and I like to document all my lessons and observations through my most preferred form of art and relaxation: writing.

Human Genetics

Soon after the completion of my academics, I had the opportunity to explore different domains within molecular science through working in varied healthcare set-ups. My journey began with a brief internship under a reputed oncosurgeon where I was exposed to the functionings of a healthcare clinic as well as the clinical aspect of the medical conditions. Along with this, I involved myself in projects that focused on developing learning modules using virtual reality.

My professional journey transitioned from an intern at Prashanti Cancer Care Mission to a report co-ordinator at GenePath Dx, Pune . Here, I was closely interacting with patients and doctors as well as interpreting molecular test results for infectious diseases and certain hematological cancers. Apart from this, I engaged my creative side through periodic presentations in the journal club which was a regular feature at the organization.

In order to refine my skills, I relocated to S.N. Gene Lab, Surat where I received in-depth training in molecular biology and it's related concepts. This played an important role in improving my understanding of the subject.

At present, I am preparing to embark on yet another academic voyage. I will soon begin my integrated PhD program in Biomedical Sciences as a joint student of University of Buenos Aires, Argentina and University of Freiburg, Germany.
